It is the most famous smaller than expected wargame on the planet, and is especially well known in the United Kingdom. The main version of the rulebook was distributed in September 1987, and the 10th and current version was delivered in July 2020. As in other little wargames, players establish fights utilizing smaller than normal models of champions and battling vehicles. The playing region is a tabletop model of a war zone, including models of structures, slopes, trees, and other landscape highlights. Every player alternates to move their model champions around the war zone and imagine that they are battling their adversary’s heroes.
